Our direct client is looking to hire immediately a Sr. RPG Developer on a Contract basis.
Duration: 6 -12+ months contract
Location: Norcross, GA 30071
The developer develops, maintains, and supports new and existing software systems. The position works very closely with other IT staff and business contacts.

Maintains and applies specific knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes.
Designs/Develops Integrated Solutions to Business Problems
Determines business requirements / critical elements of the problem to be solved; researches and identifies alternatives; develops business case; creates project, program, and/or process designs; ensures solution meets specifications and goals impacting service, cost, and/or quality.
The provision of application maintenance and support services. Support may be provided both to users of the systems and to service delivery functions. Support typically takes the form of investigating and resolving issues and providing information about the systems. It may also include monitoring their performance. Issues may be resolved by providing advice or training to users about an application's functionality, correct operation or constraints, by devising work-arounds, correcting faults, making general or site-specific modifications, updating system documentation, manipulating data, or defining enhancements – often in close collaboration with the system's developers and/or with colleagues specializing in different areas, such as Database administration or Network support.
Solicits and Gathers Information
Uses information gathering techniques such as asking open and closed-ended questions, probing for details, and interviewing to obtain new and additional information or details from others.
AS/400 RPG III/RPG ILE, CL, and DB2/400 development skills and experience (Required)
Exposure to ERP applications in a manufacturing (Preferred)
