Principal Software Engineer - PHP Developer

Full Time Salaried Employee positions (must be US Authorized)

***Seeking a Team lead for PHP for website. Scrum coaching ability is a plus. Need a computer science candidate who can lead PHP efforts but .Net skills also strongly desired.***


· Collaborate with product owners and other application developers to design, code, and maintain high quality, cloud-based applications against established processes in a scrum team setting
· Work with software teams to ensure alignment of architecture to user requirements
· Execute on all engineering software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, trade-off analysis, implementation, stage testing, and production deployment
· Design and develop awesome new features for our clients
· Assist with the debugging, deployment, operation, and maintenance of existing and new code in stage and production environments. Support releases as needed
· Review code/merge requests, lead code review sessions, give insightful recommendations, and maintain excellent code standards
· Work closely with product owners and business analysts to understand requirements, breakdown work, implementation plans, and execute on those plans
· Architect solutions designed to scale. Research technologies/designs, perform tradeoff analysis, recommend solutions, and build those solutions
· Participate in planning design, technical reviews, and implementation meetings
· Participate in deployments and support of releases
· Provide mentorship and support to team members around best practices, architecture, and design patterns
· Create and iterate upon architectural designs; producing usable assets to effectively communicate system interactions and process relationships
· Present and defend decisions and deliverables to peers and stakeholders
· Champion the needs of engineering while balancing business objectives
· Establish and promote engineering guidelines, best practices, and standards

Preferred Skills and Experience:

· Extensive knowledge and experience with C#
· Experience with client-side MVC Frameworks (i.e., Angular, React)
· Deep understanding of SOA, web security architecture, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and other architectural patterns
· Proficient with source control management repositories (such as GitHub)
· Extensive experience writing high-quality unit tests against mock objects
· Good understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
· Experience with data persistence technologies (such as RDBMS, NoSQL databases) is a plus
· Demonstrated success in collaborating with team members in a fast-paced team environment and delivering high-quality software products using established agile development methodologies (such as Scrum)
